Why choose a MÜSING bow?
Revolutionary manufacturing technology allows bows to be produced that are significantly more stable and noticeably lighter.
With
50% greater stiffness (tension elasticity) and a weight of only about
75 grams, they are faster, more comfortable, safer, and more precise to
handle, bounce wonderfully, and above all, sound fantastic!
In fact,
in a blind test, the sound of a Müsing cello bow cannot be distinguished
from that of a wooden bow that is twice or three times as expensive.
Unless you pay close attention to the bow noise and maximum volume,
because here the Müsing bows always have the edge.
Incidentally, they
are of course much more robust and durable, and perhaps even more
importantly, more comfortable. Even during the longest rehearsals and
concerts, your bow arm will never feel heavy and your hand, elbow, or
shoulder will never ache again.
The Cello L-Series
The
L bows are designed and developed for professional musicians, dedicated
amateurs, and students. More agile and faster than C bows, they have an
even more open and colorful sound. The latter clearly exceeds the
capabilities of wooden bows.
The top models in particular, the L5
and L6 bows, are more than adequate and absolutely competitive for
every musician, every style, and every occasion.
Compared to
Arcus/Müsing bows, L bows are similar in weight. However, they are more
flexible and therefore more forgiving in their playability, at the
expense of slightly less precision and sheer power.
At the other
end of the spectrum, the L6 shines with a sound and power that is more
than adequate even for string quartets or concertmasters – and at an
incredibly affordable price.
