For long-lasting care: Egid's Best Woodbalm for bow cleaning, 20 ml.
Egid's Best Woodbalm gently removes rosin from your bow and refreshes its surface noticeably.
Before
the actual cleaning, it is first necessary to separate the frog from
the bow stick. This is done by completely unscrewing the little leg
(screw at the end of the bow) and carefully removing the frog. It should
be noted that it is best to hold the stick by the leather/the winding
when cleaning it. Simply let the frog and the hair hang down during the
process and make sure that it does not bump into anything and that the
hair does not come into contact with the cleaner.
Now apply a
small amount of Egid's Best Woodbalm to a cloth and carefully rub the
length of the stick of your bow with the cloth without applying
pressure. First, a slightly damp, shiny surface is created. If your
cloth contains too much moisture, you can then wipe the stick again with
a dry, soft cloth. The bow should now have a dry, rosin-free and shiny
surface. It is recommended to carry out the cleaning after playing to
ensure that the surface is completely dry when playing.
The
recommended frequency of cleaning your bow is individual and cannot be
answered in general. As soon as you notice that rosin is noticeably
collecting on the bow stick, it's time for a gentle cleaning with Egid's
Best Woodbalm.
